The first broadcast

As I sit here aboard Flight of Freedom moored on the River Ant, I see how amazing technology is that I can be 'in the middle of nowhere' and yet connected to so many.

It was this technology that made the first live broadcast possible earlier today. Whilst there were some teething troubles to begin, these soon eased and on the whole it went well.

Many regulars of the Norfolk Broads Forum joined in watching the broadcast with several actually taking part in the chat room which made the whole affair very much feel special.

From the Bure turning onto the Ant, under Ludham Bridge we went and continued with reports of increasingly smooth picture and sound - the broadcast ending just past How Hill.  What it proved was one could, aboard a boat stream via the internet this in real time complete with video.

Future broadcasts will happen on 15th February and again possibly in March and April of 2012 - times and dates will be announced on the Norfolk Broads Forum.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank those who cam to make the inaugural broadcast such a success and fun event.
